Bartonella - Isatis?

I have taken IHA. Can't say it hit anything hard. I noticed when I have taken herbs individually it was more effective. CSA helped but I really got some reaction from taking the CSA herbs individually. I have to say the herb that I got a reaction/herx on the most was andrographis. I also found articles on how of an effective anti fungal and anti parasitic herb. So maybe it was hitting that or lyme.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like it wasn't a game changer for either of you but maybe I'll give it a shot at some point.

And since you say antibiotics worked, does that mean you got Bart in remission? If so, which abx did you take?

Oh ok, sorry to hear you relapsed. Bart really is a beast of an infection.

Isatis is an interesting herb. It is one of Buhner’s top anti-viral herbs. I took it in the beginning as IHA at very low doses. Later, I took Isatis by itself in larger doses 20-30 drops when having acute illnesses. It did something but never caused a herx like a lot of the other herbs. I may have had some fatigue while taking it.

I have also taken it in combination with Lomatium and Licorice to combat flareups of shingles nerve pain/numbness. I am doing a round right now.

My feeling is Isatis is a good herb, especially for viruses, but it’s effects are subtle. Just because something doesn’t whack you hard or cause a herx doesn’t mean it isn’t doing anything or that it’s not beneficial.

Interesting WBF, thanks for sharing your experience. It's a good reminder that a reaction to a herb doesn't always mean progress and that no reaction doesn't mean it isn't working either.

Yup - That’s what makes lyme and co treatment so freaking difficult - it’s difficult to decipher the reactions you have.
