SPM Active from Metagenics

My primary care doc would like to me to start SPM Active from Metagenics as part of my mold healing protocol.

I don't know much about this supplement other than that it's supposed to reduce inflammation and costs a lot of money.. $70 for a 30 day supply.

Has anyone tried this in the past? Was it helpful? I think i saw a post by walkingbyfaith in the past about using this, so curious for some input!

Yeah, I took it briefly - 4 capsules in 1 dose per day. The first time I took it, I was having a really bad cytokine storm, and it really helped. I took it until I ran out. I ordered another bottle and use it only when I really need it, as it’s super expensive.

I first took it a few years ago. I can’t remember my dose but my mmp9 came down to a normal range after using it.

I was told to start taking it again (up to 2 caps/2x a day) since i’m low in dha & omega 3. Apparently it’s one if the best for people with mcas.

WBF - Yes I did. My house came back with no mold on my main floor and upstairs and my basement had very very low mold. They had an expert call me and discuss the results and he said none of it would be cause for concern and said my house was actually one of the lowest mold counts he's seen for awhile.

My work and car came back clear too which didn't suprise me. I drive a brand new car and the office i work in is only 3 years old.

My doctor and I think I got mold from a previous apartment. In the reviews for the apartment, someone even mentioned getting sick and found water damage. Crazy.. it seemed like a nice place, but clearly they were just covering up issues.
