I tested for indeterminate for Babesia so I was put on Biaxon/Mepron combo for 3 months. Retested and still indeterminate and Dr prescribed me another 3 months. I am going to be without my meds now for 4-5 days because of a screw up by my pharmacy/dr. I remnemberd that I had CSA. Took some and I have herxed harder than on Biaxin/Mepron combo. Is it saf to take both herbs and meds? Also, will having a 4-5 day gap between my meds affect the outcome? My Dr. said it can take some people longer to treat the babs.

What type of test did you have for Babesia?
You do know that testing isn’t reliable and that’s why most llmd’s don’t use testing to determine when to stop treatment - instead they go by resolution of symptoms.

A break for a few days shouldn’t be a problem - sometimes people take breaks due to herxing - also some llmd’s do pulsing with breaks that are sometimes weeks long.

I did IGenex FISH. My band symptoms still seem to be present. Thanks for quick reply Girlie.

Would you recommend taking herbs along with medication? Just want to get rid of this darn stuff.

Fish test is pcr - right?

Well that one may be a good indicator you still have it - as pcr test is identifying the DNA of the bacteria in the blood.

Yes, taking herbs alongside Pharma is fine.

DrJ - who we all know is pro pharma - he even has herbals in with the Pharma protocols.
I took Cryptolepis (and a few others) with my meds.
