I have this new symptom woke I woke up tonight to a burning/ itching feeling in my legs. I’m back on antibiotics (rifabutin and minocycline) and have suspected I was having a herx yesterday since I felt down and a little sick. I’ve never had this symptom in my legs and it doesn’t feel like my usual MCAS symptoms. It just came about in the middle of the night with no warming which normally doesn’t happen with my MCAS symptoms which get triggered during the day and don’t last this long.

I would wonder about a medication allergy. They can arise at any time, even with meds you've taken before. It's especially likely if your immune system is already overreacting due to a recent vaccine, allergens in your environment, or a new infection (like a cold). I think medication allergies are always worth considering. I have developed them out of nowhere to drugs I previously tolerated fine, as has my child.

I would be concerned about drug allergy, too. Talk to me doctor or pharmacist.
