I should make the point that in regards to heavy metals, there are chelators, and there are binders.
Chelators help to pull metals out of the areas in the body where they are stored. I am winging this part here, some somebody correct me if I am wrong. This is where Cutler’s work becomes valuable. He talks about
different things (drugs and natural things) that have thiols and the ability to pull out metals. A single thiol substance can move metals but will drop them without getting them out of the body, causing more harm. Strong two thiol substances are needed.
Binders can remove some metals but are not true chelators. They can be useful and often bind to more than just metals. Pectasol-C and Zeobind are two that come to mind.
As for zeolite, it was a popular binder some years ago until the Health Ranger did an experiment with zeolite and declared it was unsafe and contributed to heavy metals. You can read that here :
https://www.naturalnews.com/051776_zeolites_detoxification_challenge_blood_lead_levels.htmlI came along after all this.
Dr. K promoted his Zeobind product, and I knew others here had taken it with good results, so I bought it and have used it off and on. I feel fairly comfortable using it. I would probably not use another zeolite product unless it came from a maker I trust, as I don’t comprehend all the science surrounding it.
Hope this helps.
