Bactrim SJS scare

SJS is extremely dangerous, it is a medical emergency. This is NOT SJS. SJS normally starts w/ cutaneous blisters, especially on the mucous membrane in the mouth lips and nose. Anything can cause SJS, even tylenol. The warning is on a lot of medications. You have to be susceptible to it, its very rare, and no one knows exactly what causes it.

I dont know what that is that you have, but it's not SJS. If you start developing open sores/blisters, then its time to be nervous.

I went to the doctor, he looked at it and said it's a yeast infection. I'm not 100 % convinced yet..

I think some meds - like Bactrim have higher risk than the other meds?

You can get rashes/spots etc from the abx and it not be SJS.

I’ve had several different skin reactions to abx that were not SJS.

Please do not take warnings of SJS lightly. By the grace of God, I survived the syndrome which put me in the ICU burn center for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, a PA at Dr. J’s clinic prescribed a CNS medication, Lamictal which I later learned has an SJS risk. The ICU nurses all mentioned Bactrim as another med that causes SJS. It is true that other medication as benign as Tylenol can cause SJS but I believe some medications are more risky than others.
My SJS started with a red, itchy rash on my back and arms. Within hours I had a fever. Literally my body burned from the inside out. One year later, I am here to talk about it.

It was a terrifying experience. I still have leopard spots on my skin, but they have faded considerably. As far as other residual effects, it’s difficult to say. I’m dealing with neuro Lyme symptoms still but colloidal silver seems to be helping somewhat. I’m adding GSE next, then stevia.

I ended up switching to minocycline and clarithromycin. Almost two weeks later, I'm developing a new rash and red (blood?) spots seems to appear everywhere. Sigh.
The new rash is spreading rapidly and it's itchy. From nothing at the start of the week to around my neck and now starting on my back. The thought of sjs is still on my mind.. Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/qClbn8P

Allergic reaction? Lyme herx? I used minocycline and clarithromycine combo a couple years ago for 3 months and didn't have any problems then.

Yeah, Bactrim has a higher risk but still I'm worried. And the itching is annoying.
I'm doing it without an LLMD this time. Long story...

What's ADC? I'm from Europe.
