Igenex lyme

When u get a western blot lyme.test through igenex does the western blot automatically test for every different strain of borellia? I had bands 30,39,41kd pos on western blot through my regular doc office.upon further research I read band 30 or 39 forgot which one could be either european and a Californian strain of borellia and also can indicate a relapsing fever. Not sure wt it meant relapsing fever as in tbrf bt wt type? Does anyone know if tbrf has to do with lyme or rmsf?

Unless it’s changed - I think Igenex tests for the following bands:

18, 23, 28, 30, 31,34, 39, and 41, 45, 58, 66 and 93kDa.

Hopefully someone else can confirm that

sry I should hv clarified that. Not the bands I meant for all different strains of borellia rather than just borellia burgderfori

It’s not truly Lyme specific - it represents a flagella (tail)
- there are a few others that could cause 41 to show - Syphillis, Relapsing Fever, Pintas and Yaws, dental.

If you don’t have those others’ - then likely it’s lyme.

The whole lage stage syphilis thing is so scary. Some ppl continue to test neg for syphilis because they never knew they had it latent stage. Also the only means of knowing they have late stage syphilis are also lyme symptoms. I've been told syphilis is also the great imitator as lyme is also. I was thinking about me having 2 bands that indicate relapsing fever though. My docs don't even bother to test for different strains of borellia only burgderfori bt it's kind of common sense. I will always say if u take a drop of sida acuta and feel side effects or herx then you definatley have something in your body it's killing off. I've learned to treat based on my symptoms not my negative test results. Never knew I had bart as I was only tested for 1 strain it was neg yet I had all the symptoms. Playing with different herbs to see if you feel relief from symptoms or hv herx is a great way to tell I guess
