Double Dapsone and Leucovorin

Hey everyone

I am going to start the double dapsone protocol next month. Dapsone, Rifampin, Doxy, HCQ. Along with serrapeptase, oil of oregano, 5MTHfolate, NAC, ALA, berberine, and obviously plenty of probiotics.

My LLMD also wants me to take Leucovorin 25mg twice daily. It comes in 5mg so it will be 10 of those per day. My pharmacist quoted me at $10/pill, so without insurance coverage this drug alone will cost me $3000 per month.

Just curious for anyone who has done this protocol, did you take that much Leucovorin or was there an alternative supplement?

from reading Horowitz papers on dapsone and the chapter in his latest book it seems the leucovorin is just a bioavailable source of folate.
the Dapsone interferes with folate metabolism and if it drops too low will cause anemia.
This is the reason for supplementing with relatively high doses.
however, from his book, it seems like it's also acceptable to use other over-the-counter sources eg Methyl folate.
i think a few other forms were mentioned also - and these could be combined up to around 50mg daily total.

might be worth looking that up as over the counter would be way cheaper
not everyone has the severe anemia on it - seems to be variable from individual to individual - so you may be ok with other forms of folate?

Just realized I hadn't posted. I found the pill bottle...leucovorin 5mg - two tablets daily.

That was under Dr. J (Washington,DC) when I was on the Bartonella/Persister's protocol....taking Dapsone, Daraprim, Rifabutin...etc....etc.
