Going on New Babesia Treatment

Dr. put me on Mepron/ Biaxin combo after testing indeterminate for Babesia + symptoms. 6 months later my Babesia is now postive. He is now putting me on Clindamycin and Plaquenil combo. Anyone try this. From what I've read the side effects of the drugs can be pretty harsh. Not looking forward to it. Input and advice is graciously accepted.

I was on Clindamycin for several months - when I was on the “Persisters Protocol” under the care of Dr J (DC)
I didn’t find it to be harsh.

If I’m remembering correctly, Plaquenil has a really long half life - something like 3 months.

My Llmd doesn’t use Plaquenil but I think Dr Horowitz does.

Personally i dont like drugs that have astronomic half lives. There are alternatives to plaquenil, tinidazole (tindamax) for example can hit Lyme, Bart and even babesia since it is used for malária too. Many llmds use pulsed tindamax. You also have mepron ir malarone for babesia. Discuss with your doc about it.
