As an experiment I carefully cut the very tip off a D-limonine gel cap, And I could sweeze the contents out into a spoon. If I was to slurp with us down I would mix it in a glass of water, this would help get it down there and in your stomach it gets diluted anyway. Directions on the Jarrow brandbottle say 2000 mg per day, I think I only did that the first day , then it was that once a day and I slowly tapered off to every other day then to nothing after a couple months.

ion that was available at the time, I tried eight versions of PPIs and the other anti-histamine Zantac types, which none worked and all made it worse. So bad that I was no longer able to digest food hardly since I had such low acid levels. Obviously different things work for different people just like everything else on this board.
Keep in mind I had reflux so bad when laying down That I’d to wake up at three in the morning choking with acid hitting my teeth. And that was even with an acid reflux wedge pillow which elevates you from the waist up not just your neck which is worse. I ended up sleeping on an incline chair for a couple weeks.
