I'm extremely nervous and I wonder a lot. How long has covid really been around. Ppl have it and are asymptomatic bt when did it really start.ive had so many of these symptoms for a while on and off and makes me wonder was it my lyme, or mold, some virus , heavy metal buildup or was it covid all along? Here's a link https://www.eatthis.com/covid-19-signs/

Well I’ve had lyme symptoms since 2013 - long before covid.

I'd read an article on the Cleveland Clinic's website stating that Coronaviruses have been around for centuries. Not the specific SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) variant, but Coronaviruses in general. It seems reasonable to me that the most recent one could have been around longer. Ultimately, though, we'll never know.
I'd guess there are many other viruses and bacteria that have been (or, are going to be) circulating around that we'll never know about
, because our immune system is able to handle it and we're either asymptomatic or only mildly ill.

Yeah, a basic cold (probably one of the many coronaviruses we've all had in our lives) rendered me bedridden for five months a couple of years ago. My limbs even experienced some paralysis, my heart was acting up, etc. Very scary. None of this long hauler business is a surprise in any way, to me. Many believe that the millions of people with CFS/ME have a post-viral syndrome from EBV, which seems perfectly reasonable to me. Viruses aren't harmless and transient sometimes, and it's bummed me out for a long time that people treat them like they are. Remember that enterovirus that paralyzes a small percentage of kids who get it, and spikes every other fall? Freaky stuff.

I heard the same that it's been around for years. Idk why it said on the news that it started from bats lol it was around way before that. I can't begin to imagine what we carry in our bodies all the bacteria viruses out there.
