No, I've not had this issue. I can take 400 - 800 mg of magnesium daily with no obvious effect on my bowels or anything else. Likewise, Magnesium L-Threonate did nothing for me, either.
Have you investigated why your bowel movements are impaired?
was told ibs bt I know it's not. I've even had acute pancreatitis and gallbladder issues. Sibo from antibiotics over use for years. I haven't had any issues though I did a good liver flush and added magnesium and all good. I know magnesium stimulates gaba which targets nuerotransmitters to cause drowsiness, bt due to my ptsd I'm always feeling anxious so maybe the magnesium made me a little panicky because my body isn't used to feeling super relaxed and calm
