Elevated Gliotoxin Levels

I recently got the results back from my Great Plains Mycotox test. This is a urine test for different molds. Everything came back clean except:

Ochratoxin A, Normal Level < 7.75, My Level 10.98
Gliotoxin, Normal Level < 200, My Level 1708

My Ochratoxin A was slightly elevated but my Gliotoxin level seems awfully high to me. I'm hoping that someone might be able to put this in context for me. Is the 1708 reading a common range value for someone with elevated Gliotoxin levels. Or is this value "off the charts" high?

The ochratoxin level isn't very significant, but yes, the gliotoxin level is extremely high. :-/ Do you have a sense of where your exposure is coming from? The good news is that now you know this is something your body is dealing with it and can take steps toward getting better! But I know it's probably not the result you were hoping for.

Well, my gliotoxin levels were over 3k. My doctor said I had the highest levels of gliotoxin she had seen in any of her patients.

Yeah, you want to find out where the mold exposure is coming from and do something about it. Aspergillus produces gliotoxin. It’s found in water damaged buildings and only requires humidity as opposed to a leak, so it’s very common in buildings located in humid regions.

As WBF knows I am currently treating for Gliotoxin also results were 646 and the nightmare began when I found it was from my office where I have been employed 10 years and there was major water damage from a sprinkler pipe that flooded my office so I had been exposed for a decade !

I have been sick for over 4 years with severe symptoms, unable to walk unaided and slurred speech among others. It was WBF that asked me over a year ago if I have been exposed to mold and I had no idea I wish I didn’t wait so long to be tested. But I am working from home since December and detoxing with help from a telemedicine consultation with Dr M R from Washington because my LLMD doesn’t treat mold. I am praying I get better. Please find your source before you can treat.
