My circadian rhythm has been the worst in a very long time recently with me going to sleep between midnight and 1 am, sleeping to 9-10 am. The two biggest reasons have been that I have had so many deadlines in school and work, that I often have been working after 11 pm, and that I have been in front of screens until before I go to bed.
I have two exams next week and I finished the big deadline for work at the last hour, so I want to focus more on getting better sleep again.
I don’t want to do any work/school after 7 pm except for one of my workdays a week where I will work to about
9 pm. I failed some with that the last two days where I have been doing things for school to 8 pm, but I'm working on it. It's hard when brain fog makes it hard to do, what I want in time.
The second thing is to have a book I want to read, so I don’t use my phone or computer instead. I have been reading the book A world without email by Cal Newport lately, and it's really good so I haven't used any screens before bedtime for the last days.
I have also been doing some DNRS in the sun in the morning instead of yoga on the days where the weather has been good. This is something I will continue with and it’s a good way to mix between yoga and DNRS.
I have had some success as I have been waking up at 8 am three days in a row now. Going to bed 11:15-11:45 pm. I want to go to bed at 11 pm so I get my 9 hours but I have to get better at eating dinner and stop working in time for that to happen. 11 pm – 8 am most days and staying up a bit later on Fridays and the day Im working late, but still getting up at 8 am everyday is my goal.
