I'm not sure what to think of these "variants". It's what Fauci is falling back on in order to keep vaccinated and recovered people still wearing masks and all wearing masks into 2022. Rand Paul discusses antibody studies and immunity in the first few minutes of this video. The "variant" subject comes up also.
I just dont agree with Rand Paul in only one think, "people not spreading the infection", if i am wrong on this, someone correct me, but from what i know is that:
1 - Vaccines don't prevent us from spreading the infection, this is already known.
2 - We don't know at what point in time someone naturally infected will be clear from the virus, 14 days? He could be reinfected in between. While not clear, and if without a mask, this person will continue to spread it.
3 - How do we know who is naturally infected or not? Asymptomatic people spread the virus just by talking to others if they don't use mask. They have no symptoms, they are the silent covid hosts. Since we never know who these people are, masks are the only solution for now to avoid them spreading it and also for people getting it from them.
Thats why i cant see the value of vaccines, even if i took them. Bill Gates is already speaking about
a third shot will be needed, convenient, right?... But being vaccinated, not only doesn't prevent you from getting infected, but also doesn't prevent you to spread it to others. The only think it could prevent is to reduce the severity of symptoms, but masks, safety measures can prevent us from being infected and Fauci knows it.
I am using FFP3 mask for one year now, went to hospitals, doc appointments, dentist, shopping, etc. (I always verify if those
locations have rigorous safety, clean and hygiene standards). I already made my first covid test, because i had to be submitted to a deviated septum surgery. Negative. After surgery, no infection symptoms, all staff used safety measures in hospital. Always applied safety measures the best i can and i was never infected. Perhaps, FFP3 masks are effective, i don't know. But,as long i am outdoors, i always use my FFP3 mask, i never take it out, unless i am home again. I see people inside the car without masks, running in the street without masks, as soon as people leave shopping, they take the mask out. i never do this!! If the virus is airborne why should i do that???
I only get the mask out when i arrive home. I know, not everyone can wear the mask all the time when they outdoors, because perhaps they cant deal with a mask so long, i admit. But for me, its better to have some difficulties breathing with a mask, compared to the possibility of breathing a fatal virus. Until now, it has been proven effective for me and all my family members who do the same think.

Thats how i deal with it, i didn't even get the flu this year for the first time in years, i used to be hit with the flu every year. I guess masks are even better than vaccines in protecting you from infection, if you use them well and use good ones. I always disinfect all thinks that i buy online with Ethyl Alcohol, always wash groceries with tap water, always disinfect my hands and my credit card with sanitizer after using it and before i enter my home. I am too cautious in everything and it has proven to be good for me and for everyone home. Getting rid of flu with this is a plus, safety measures are being proven to be effective as we could never knew, if it was not for this pandemic. Perhaps someday we stop using masks i hope.
