So I've been doing Calmare therapy for nerve pain. I've done 7 of the 10 sessions. It's a real pain in the butt for me to get out there to NJ from NYC, hour Uber each way, and I've continued to go, so I know deep down it must be helping me.
What they do is they connect your appendages to electrical pads. For example, an input pad on your foot, and an output pad to close the circuit on the dorsal horn in your lower back. They can put 3 of these on at any one time. Then they feed it a series of electrical signals aimed at calming the nerves. It's basically a scrambler, it's trying to send "no pain signals" to the nerves.
This is the perfect type of treatment for nerve injuries, or things like chemo-induced neuropathy where the damage is done and youre left with a situation where you just need to tell the brain to stop focusing on those signals. The effects can be curative and permanent. For people w/ an inflammatory or autoimmune component where there is new damage accruing daily, it may not work as well. I still have new damage going on, so it's not going to 100% cure me. So if I have an inflammatory flare because I got sick or ate the wrong thing, sure Ill still have burning...but what I've noticed is that the dead, numb, painful spots on my feet and hands feel much much better.
So it hasnt been a cure for me, but I'm very glad I went and I will probably go back for a touch-up if things get worse.
Girlie, I think this the perfect treatment for you because you clearly have a large fiber issue going down your left arm. I think this could really help you. Problem is you'd probably have to fly to the states to do it.
