I struggled with disequilibrium, proprioception issues, dizziness, vertigo, sound sensitivity, mal de debarquement syndrome (MDDS), and other symptoms that had ENTs and neurologists passing me back and forth and shrugging. For me the fundamental issue was neurological inflammation and limbic system issues, which i had to figure out for myself.
Epley helped me occasionally, when true vertigo was the issue. Self-administered lymphatic massage helped if I had fluid in my head that needed to drain. Craniosacral therapy is a marvelous thing. Essential oils helped to calm symptoms down, especially at bedtime. What helped me most were treating MCAS to reduce overall inflammation (quercetin, curcumin, low-histamine diet) and therapies for my nervous system (DNRS limbic system retraining, tapping, yoga, vagus nerve stimulation, DHA, magnesium).
Balance issues are maddening! Good luck!
