Tinidazole experience along with serrapeptidase

Hi Folks
My doctor prescribed me Tindazole starting with 500 mg once daily eventually working up to 4 times daily (2 in morning and 2 in night) for a total of 2000 mg. Is that too large of a dosage, I've heard of people doing 500 mg once daily and even 1000 mg daily but haven't heard of 2000 mg. Im just afraid it will be too much, what do you guys think? What were your experience with tindazole? Im also currently on minocycline and rifampin for bartonella and lyme. Does tinidazole act more towards the bart or lyme? Im also afraid of the neuropathy it can cause. When will I know if I should stop it if it does that. The last thing I want is permanent damage from this. Im also taking serrrapeptidase (Klaire interface plus) for biofilm busting. Has anyone herxed badly from that? Thanks for your replies in advance

I take 500 mg twice daily. Just two days on the week I take my other abx . And my Dr is not “shy” when it comes to abx dosing.
The Tinidazole is cyst busting.

I went to LLMD MR Treatlyme site and his dose gor tinidazole

Tinidazole 500 mg 2 or 3 times a day

So up to 1500 daily

Thanks Girlie, Im going to titrate up slowly and see how I feel. How long did it take before you saw improvement from tinidazole and how bad were the herxes?

Also, do you know if serrapeptase can be taken right as I take my antibiotics as well? I know it has to be taken away from food but the only other time im empty stomach is when I take the antibiotics.

I really don’t know if/when it helped because I was on several other meds at same time

My herxes were very bad when I was on dapsone, daraprim, Rifabutin, mino, Ceftin and Tinidazole.

Thanks!Did you take the serrapeptase right with your antibiotics? I just want to make sure that they don't interfere with each others effectiveness

I was taking serrapeptase with a LLND prior to Dr J - I believe the instructions were to take on empty stomach but don’t recall if it can be taken with other meds

I was pretty much to same as Girlie too.

I did One Tini 500mg twice a day for only two consecutive days as well. I also started with only one pill the first week to test for any reaction. At first it would hit my gut pretty hard within two hours where I needed to lay down for a while. My guess it was hitting either Lyme or parasites in the gut pretty hard. Then gradually reduced as the infection load was reduced.

I also took my Serrapetase on an empty stomach first thing in am along with my morning abx regimine. I was not sure how effective it was, but used it anyway for several years. I would also occasionally switch it with Lumbrokenese (sp?) to shake things up a bit.

I think if the serrapeptase is taken with food it works a digestive enzyme instead ??

I did 1 500 four times a day and had no issues.

My doc is not great at giving me instructions... I think sometimes he gives great instructions to other patients but not me. He’s always like oh you’re so smart I’m sure you know what to do, and I’m like no I’m not! I’m not smart! Anyways, he did not give me any special instructions for taking serrapeptase. I take it before abx because it breaks down my biofilm. I’m very sensitive to biofilm breakdown. I can take it on a full stomach and I’ll still need to take abx lest I enter relapsed mode. But yeah your body might not be as screwed up as mine which any whiff of a hope of biofilm breakdown sends it into abx you’ll never sleep and be so weak you can’t move and other unmentionable horrors.

I used to do flagyl ages ago. I think they thought about tindamax but my doc said he preferred flagyl.

enzymes are normally taken on an empty stomach and at least 30mins - of longer away from food - as as mentioned above - will otherwise tend to use up their enzymic activity on your food rather than in your wider system. at least that is what is written about them in all the sources i have read.

i found interphase plus also caused a herx reaction in my case - most biofilm type agents seem to.
i would watch for that and titrate up slowly.

If I were on all of those antibiotics, I would want to have liver function tests performed. Rifampin can be harsh but especially when you add in the others.

Agreed

I would think all llmds or any dr prescribing long term abx would have monthly “safety” labs
