Just took ONLY 1 drop of this stuff and oh boy did it hit me almost instantly. Felt my heart racing and pounding and anxiety. Almost felt like I couldnt breath for a few minutes. I know I have mcas plus allergies as I'm sensitive to most antimicrobials as well so without thought I quickly popped a half of benedryl and jumped in an epsom salt bath. Is it normal for this all to happen as soon as u take something for it to hit u that hard or is an automatic herx or mcas?? The benedryl is seeming to work maybe its cytokines or die off by that quick?? Leading me to believe I'm allergic or "super sensitive " this happen to anyone else off of 1 drop?

Immediate responses are not herxes, so yes, I would think you are reacting to it in the MCAS or allergy sense. Sounds really unpleasant - sorry you went through that, and I hope it passes fast!

Did you swallow the drop by itself, or place it into a capsule first? Oregano oil can burn very badly going down. I have damaged my esophagus more than once with it, just from inhaling the aroma of the essential oil.

Oregano oil is the strongest herbal and possibly one of the meds I had most strong reactions to including pharmaceuticals. Even putting a drop in my belly button resulted in hours of intense hmmm brain hysteria unwellness? I kept using it for a while snd it got better each successive time though I can’t say I felt an improvement in health.

I have had herxes that came quickly that were not MCAS to my knowledge.

Is this oregano oil or essential oil?

I, personally, would not ingest essential oil, especially oregano essential oil. Oregano is reported by many to be overwhelming.

I just got some Natural Factors oil of oregano softgel capsules that are 150 mg per capsule. I took one this past Tuesday. I felt no immediate reactions, but I noticed changes in my bowels in the days after and a big flare of MCAS symptoms yesterday and today.

I can’t be sure that one dose of oregano caused all that, but it’s possible.

I took 1 drop in about an inch of water and within minutes I felt spaced out. Then came a sensation of warmth over the body. Same thing happened when I took a drop of sida acuta and I get irritated not being able to tell if it's a herx. I've heard other ppl say oregano oil hit them hard almost instantly so I wouldn't doubt it. It was like an instant brain fog so idk and I do have anaphylaxis bt the feeling passed within 10 mins of jumping I'm an epsom salt bath and a half of.benedryl to be on the safe side. It's like what CAN I take at this point? It's so depressing. I cook with oregano and no reactions and I've also taken oregano oil capsules with no bad reaction so cant be allergic right????

its 100% organic oregano oil based with extra virgina olive oil non essential, I made sure because I made that mistake the 1st time lol. Says it has Turkish organoids oil and made in Hreece,must be some good stuff.
