Strange Sensation Around Base of Neck

Hey Garzie. I noticed the cross reactivity with other bacteria, but they were all odd ones that don’t seem likely. With the test indicating “equivocal,” It’s not really saying it’s positive. Then with the lack of positive IgG, I’m leaning toward it not really being active. Just doesn’t seem to make sense, as symptoms overlap with so much with Lyme.

How are things going with you? On the right track?

yeah, its a tough one - we never know for sure exactly what infections we have - but i would say the pattern here fits with the false positive more in this case.

but there are plenty of other bacteria in the group that could be causing your symptoms - along with lyme - which also fits with the false positive EBV - so my vote would be on lyme and something else - bart being high on the list for that - or something similar.

i do think that most scientific papers and books on the subject do tend to present a kind of stereotypical one dimensional view of each of these infections and their symptom pattern - when in fact the picture in the real world is much more nuanced and they all have widely varying symptoms from one person to another with only kind of vague patterns of similarity.

you can always find case reports of "atypical presentations" of just about any of these infections that you care to look up that attest to this

i'm doing OK thanks - something has knocked me back a bit - i though maybe the astragalus trial had had some kind of delayed reaction - but it seems too long after starting for that - and hanging around after i stopped - so i think i may have picked up a virus that's knocking me about - as per the astragalus thread. frustrating - but we know the path upwards is never a straight line - and even when you are well its normal to get a cold or virus or something and be knocked back - so i'm trying not to be too frustrated.

seems to have bottomed out now so with a bit of luck i will start getting back to where i was before and doing well

its very confusing at the moment as i cannot discern the cause
its unusual because its a bigger dip than i have had in the past 2 years without an obvious cause - and things have been getting more stable / reliable if anything - so its a bit odd

if its the astragalus - things suddenly kicked in after around 1month - which seems unlikely - i normally get any effects within 3 days - so that seems a bit out of place

if its a virus - well who knows - anyone can get one of those at any time - but i haven't had any sign of cold/flue for 7 years now - but then people with these odd conditions often dont show up with normal symptoms - so hard to know - whatever it is has raised symptoms by aroudn30% and knocked me back a bit - but i seem to be dealing with it - and will hopefully bounce back in another week or so

time will tell - but i'm not changing or doing anything new for a while till things settle or bounce back
