My husband wants to get a test for lyme AND for babesia since he had a tick pulled from him this summer that was tested at a lab & found to have babesia.

Is there a recommended company to use for these tests? We want the most accurate tests possible to be administered.

If the tick was positive I’d personally treat if that was me.

You run the risk of testing a false negative and missing early treatment.

He is treating thru a naturopath. And I put him on some Buhner herbs. He has had what seem to be detox symptoms, so we do think he is dealing with one of both infections.

I noticed the dna connexions tests for 11 pathogens, including lyme & babesia. How does the dna connexions test compare to the lyme Igenix test? Does Igenix offer a babesia test?

He has had 2 months of symptoms.

Quin, have you used dna connexions? Were you pleased with them?

He's in a time crunch here for a number of reasons. It would be impossible to schedule an appointment with an LLMD or my registered nurse who treats using natural remedies--the availability of those appointments are months to almost a year out.

I've used dna connexions and the test is pretty accurate, but I did get one false negative (for bartonella). So it's not perfect.

It takes a week or two to get the results.

DNA connexions had a false negative for me with Lyme bartonella and babesia. I even did 30 min of intense workout before.
I’ve heard it was good for others though.

Igenix found bartonella western blot positive, babesia igg positive and MDL found Lyme c6 peptide positive.
