So, I am at this fork in the road. With the knowledge of the fact that, Herbs got me the best results. Do I go into a only herb protocol and slowly titrate, staying just underneath herxing level?
Well, the problem with this is that. This protocol got me over a plateau. After years of antibiotics. Its been 3 years off from antibiotics. So, I am in a different place now. I definitely have more active infection. I am scared that if I go on all antibiotics is will just force the bacteria deeper into my body and make things worse. However, with herbs they go deeper into the body. Especially with Teasel Root which cleanses bacteria from deep places of Bone, connective tissue, cartilage, joints. Then Sida acuta which help repair red blood cells, which are what Bartonella infects. Then Japanese knotweed, which can push blood flow deep into the body and push medicine deep into the nervous system. The only problem with this is….This may aggravate the bacteria to go deeper into the body as well. Or it might draw it out without killing it effectively, bringing more intense symptoms. I say this, because the studies on these herbs are in vitro. Sida/Houttuynia/Otoba Bark/ can kill Bart/Lyme in vitro. But, maybe not when theres an overflow of the active infection.
So, I want to start with Teasel..then add in Sida acuta…Otoba Bark…then Houttuynia…then oil of oregano. I think this will be very effective. But, if it doesn’t work and it pushes the bacteria deeper into the body..then I’m screwed without antibiotics.
So its like the herbal protocol I think will be very effective. But, should I start it after a month of antibiotics first? This way the active bacteria load can go down? Or I can start on a low dose of the herbs. Then as soon as I start to feel a herx..put in the antibiotics.
I really think the herbal protocol is effective. But, its all bout timing. Will it work now? It worked when I was plateaued after years of antibiotics. But, will it work now amongst active infection?
As much as I want to choose a plan and stick to it. If, I choose herbs now and it doesnt work then I’m screwed. But, if I start antibiotics and it makes things worse, at least I can start the herbs and I’ll know.
I just wish I could start the herbs, then have the antibiotics right there if I need them. I wish we could just acquire antibiotics without having to deal with The Doctors.
So basically, I want to start on Teasel. Just one drop. Then Sida, then houttuynia, then otoba bark. Just one drop and see how that feels. The increase the dose of Sida. One drop, one day at a time. Then eventually add another drop of Teasel. Then increase the other doses by a drop or two. But, it would be nice to have the anti-biotics there just in case it doesn't work. Or if it starts to make things worse. I would really like the try this. Although, Teasel helped joint/muscle recovery. The difficulty swallowing got worse right after. This shows me it brought out the Bartonella. Because lyme takes a few weeks to come back. Where as bart is fast. I really think Bart is giving me the worst of it all. So, if I use Sida to kill the Bart I'll have better results. However, if it doesnt work, i'd like to have antibiotics to add in right away. I just need to find the dose of each herbs that starts a reaction. I think its 2 drops on teasel. 10 drops on Sida. But, I wont know till I try.
What do you think?
