Which do i go for? Watched a presenting on their website claiming immunoblot is both more sensitive and specific, but a newer test, always leery of new tech before it’s tried and true
What do people think?

My latest tests done in September were immunoblot. I looked it up then and Igenex says it used a number of proteins and are broader in detections. The reason I had looked it up was it showed tick born relapsing fever, which only R.E.D. Lab had shown before. Shows more form of Bartonella also.
My LLMD said he felt very comfortable with the immunoblot and has a lot of confidence in it. Since it matched up with thee TBRF positives on PCR, I tend to agree with him.

I’ve read the Immunoblot is a better test than the standard western blots.
As far as being “new” - I think Armin Labs in Europe has been using the Immunoblot for many years now.

Yes. Its been around a while.
As i understand it its like an automated version of a western blot - so takes some of the human error out of the process.
I would use that one.
