Are there any distinguishable differences between nasal activation syndrome and a herxheimer?
Is it common to have for instance a slightly elevated body temperature or heart rate or blood pressure or sweating during each or both? Thanks

You mean MCAS - mast cell activation syndrome.
I get both: sometimes I can tell for sure and other times I can only guess. MCAS gives me all kinds of different reactions depending on what I have taken. An immediate reaction within 12 hrs for me I always identify as MCAS because herxes come in slower and take longer to go. With a herx you are responding to a die-off reaction and that builds up over time and your body has to cope with the extra pressure.
Elevated body temperature and sweating I associate with liver stress.

It took me a super long time to tell the difference between MCAS, herx, and flare. Some of the symptoms I finally connected to MCAS - burning, numbness, or itching that occurs during or after eating; burning in the tops of my feet and toes. I also get increases in sensitivities to chemicals, mold, and EMF.
