Howdy. I don't have anything useful to offer, but wanted to say I hope this passes for you soon. That's a pretty high fever you had and the symptoms sound miserable.
I'm on my second day of feeling worse than my crappy "normal." Similar to what you noted, some of my current symptoms seem only slightly worse than usual -- but, it was enough to launch me into hypervigilance. I'm still surprised at how my body responds to my mind going over a cliff. I started feeling flushed and got a bit sweaty. I took my temperature and it was only 97.2°F (36.2°C). Seeing this, I calmed down and felt less flushed and warm. My body aches a bit, I've had some GI upset, and felt on the verge of a headache since yesterday.
Though I've only watched a couple of episodes (and, it's been a few months), I've seen "This Week in Virology" and felt it a great resource. Based on your watching/listening to it -- and, having read various other comments you've made -- you may also enjoy the following, if you're not already familiar.

The testing situation you shared is really unfortunate. I'm sorry you guys went through all that without getting any help. As you mentioned, the testing situation is a mess. I heard part of President Biden's speech about
having 500 million test kits available for the U.S., but I'm not really clear on the need or strategy, all things considered.
Anyway, again, I hope you get to feeling better soon. I've no doubt you're doing lots of good things to give yourself the best chance to put the matter behind you quickly.
