So the vaccine probably causes autoimmunity,I guess I shouldnt be surprised.

And the NIH isnt interested in researching it. Also not a surprise.


I should note, if everyone recalls, I was very pro-vaccine initially. I knew there were risks, but I was very afraid of covid. I read the studies and went ahead of my own free will.

And everyone knows what happened after that. I came down w/ spondyloarthritis 10 days after my 2nd dose.

What angers me is not that I seem to have gotten quite worse after taking it. No, thats not what angers me. What angers me is the @%235$ insistence that these things are safe, when they cant possibly know that, and that anyone who has any questions is "anti-science". Just disgusting.

This reminds me of the HPV vax for teenage girls.

That could explain what happened to you, dcd, as your pattern after the shot fits. And that's where the problem is, as you are pointing out. We just don't know. There are people who tell me, basically, that I'm ignorant for not. Ironically, one of them is someone who, years ago, was telling me all my health issues were "in my head." And that same person, who I avoid as much as possible, still doubts Lyme is the problem or started the problems.

Have my hands full with health already, so not knowing what the vaccine might do is not something I want to worry about. Had COVID three weeks ago and never got severe complications. I was told "you are just lucky" it wasn't worse. So how the hell did she figure that out?

Since I have an autoimmune issue, I can't say the shot caused yours. But, then again, I can't say it didn't. No one can reliably say that. That's apparent from the article. That appears to be the basis of your frustration, which is totally understandable.

I've posted this before, but one of my best friends and his wife had the shot then booster in mid-late -2020. He ended up getting COVID anyway and was home for a week, She spent four days in the hospital, then a week at home. Took them both weeks to feel near normal. It's not that I'm anti-vaccine. And I don't put anyone down for having the shot and boosters. Nor do I condemn some for not having them. There's just too much conflicting information to truly trust it for me. Your article just reinforces that as there will probably be another one out there that points out how the shot helped someone.

Lyme has negatively changed the lives of so many of those on this forum. Throw in autoimmune issues, kidney problems or many other symptoms, and that is enough to deal with. Adding yet another thing that has no true answer to it is something I've chosen to avoid. It's a risk either way, so I've played it the way I have.

It's truly a gamble for us in the Lyme community with these covid vaccines. It makes me more compassionate and understanding when someone doesn't want it, questions it or wants to wait . I don't judge someone for vaccinating as I will as well not judge someone for not vaccinating. There's enough division in this world as it is.

Yeah, that kind of pisses me off when, say maybe the 5% of people that it might not be good for ....apparently don’t matter?!

As I’ve stated many times here after the Vac put me in pain and made me feel hyper for extended period of time, it was found that it raised my thyroid antibody levels, which thankfully went back to baseline a few months after.

I do remember, I think it was here, somebody posted some articles about health scientists gaining more interest and knowledge on auto immune because of Covid.
