IV nutrition. Basically receiving liquid nutrition through a picc line.

Bailey are you not receiving at home nursing services to prepare it for you? I do but I also know how to prepare it myself (I just prefer someone else to do it). There’s also a YouTube video on how to do it. And if you need any help I can help you! Have you started TPN? We’re you on it before? I’m trying to get some info on its effect on liver enzymes.

I have a picc line, but I’ve never had tpn. I don’t have home health right now because of COVID. My dad has been taking care of my picc. My problem right now is getting someone in place to prescribe it. My pcp is trying to work on it, but basically everyone keeps saying someone else should do it.

I hope you get it. Finding a dr to prescribe it is very hard. I was lucky to find mine. Good luck!

Is this the same as what was once commonly called a "Myers Cocktail"?

From my understanding Myers cocktail is an iv mix of vitamins meant to detox you/provide some support. Tpn, is iv nutrition meant to be able to replace eating altogether.
