Is there any way to have insurance cover IV Rocephin for 5-6 months?

Depends on what state you make the claim in. There are 8 or so states that mandate insurance coverage for lyme treatment within policy guidelines for as long as the MD requires the treatment. See the following links for state lists.

again, it varies from state to state on home infusion. I had a PICC line place in a clinic (not hospital) with first Roscephin IV drip on site and drove home myself. Cost was around $600 back in 2011. That met my yearly deductable of $500, and rest of IV Rocephin, supplies and weekly nurse change of dressing with blood drawn for labs was fully covered for over a year. Some states require hospital PICC line insertion and office infusions.

I was fortunate insurance wise.
