its possible that early on when your infection/s was relatively new - your infectious load was not so high and your systems not so run down/disrupted - and as a result you did not have much adverse reaction to treatment.
later on - when you have been ill for longer - you may have more difficulty with adverse reactions to treatment due to being more sensitive and less able to deal with toxins - but also potentially from having more biofilms built up from longer term infection.
you may just need to go slow with treatment and gradually peel away the layers at a rate your body can handle
