Free flow of ideas…amend the rules

Based on recent thread blocking on this forum I propose amending the rules. I have noticed really great information gets censored simply because the rules are not adhered to some really intelligent information is being squelched. This is not right.

In the spirit of bettering this community I propose we either amend rules like blocking threads that may free flow into other ideas. Or take a. Serious look at that edit function
I think we can all agree that we have been let down by traditional doctors and some of us by LLmDs as in my case. Which is why the free flow of information is so vital. We are crowd sourcing information here.

Yes this forum is a good one.I am hoping to see it get even better. There is always room for improvement.

Thank you for that information.. I will contact him with my concerns. It is extremely important that debate and information keeps flowing. Especially when a fellow member takes the time and energy too relay with what he or she has learned or experienced.

I feel an obligation to support those who are even sicker than me who experience the same injustice on this board.

I’m sincerely hope that by bringing this issue forward we think of who really ends up losing when exchanges are blocked.

There is ni need to ve defensive. We are all equals here with tolerance for each other’s opinions and experiences.

I guess Rule Numver 9 is all that matters here. Sorry for my miscalculation I thought this forum was for all patients and their loved ones.

In order for the free world to operate, it needs some basic rules. Otherwise chaos happens. Yet some people in society think rules are above them. Again, this is a privately owned website, his rules. And moderators do this for free. It works quite well actually, nothings perfect.

Having beliefs challenged is not injustice. Healthy and respectful debate is good. If somebody doesn't want to debate that is fine. Nobody should be forced to do something they don't want to do. This is a support board after all. However, it should not be out of bounds for beliefs, ideas, assertions to be challenged. I have zero problem with someone calling me out on something I assert as long as it's respectful. In turn, I will be respectful to all others as well. Discussing the pool of ideas is how we get closer to the "truth".

Zx Great point L 24. Could we be talking about two different things though? Are used the word challenged I probably should have used the word confronted. It is my personal feeling that there is no need for anyone to feel confronted.



In my particular case it was that pertinent information was shot down in the middle of a thread. I know there are rules but could a little more discretion be used?

Perhaps these are truly issues that cannot be solved given the number of members here. It sure would be great though to see more enrollees during the year 2022.

While you feel an obligation to support others, which is a great thing, the moderators have an obligation to make sure that healthy debates don't turn into unhealthy debates.
