Finished first round of Dr. J protocol

Herxes can last hours to days to even weeks depending on the severity and the person. In addition, herxing can be delayed as toxins pile up in the body and the body can't process them fast enough. I've noticed a common phenemona amongst Lyme patients where in starting new protocols initially feel good for the first several days as the first herx builds up then all hell breaks loose. I'm not saying you are herxing, but, I wouldn't say you aren't herxing just becuase you haven't taken an antibiotic for a few days.

Progress is individual. Some people progress fast. Some progress slowly. Some reach remission relatively quickly while others never do. Don't forgot that progress is never linear. You might feel good for a span of days and then relapse. The best way to assess to is to look at long term patterns. If the better periods start becoming longer and the worse periods become shorter then you know some progress has been made.

I've completed three rounds. I just finished my second week of my third round Friday. Honestly, this week and the last couple of days have been awful. I had to skip my Fri evening dosage I was feeling so bad. The last three or so days I have been severely inflammed. It seemed like my inflammation probably broke a little last night. I feel somewhat better today thankfully. Of course I woke up to dark red spots on my back. Feel like I'm never going to get rid of what is wrong with me. Sigh

I just finished the off week of my first round of Dr J protocol. I was expecting to feel better on the off week since there was no killing of the bugs. Any ideas why I didnt feel better on the off week? I wasn't herxing because there was no killing so I was just wondering why. Any insight would help! How soon on the protocol should I expect to feel progress? The 3rd and 4th round maybe?

It’s different for everyone -
I don’t recall feeling much better - if at all in the first couple of months on Dr J’s protocols.
Maybe had a decrease of night sweats ..,,

I've been treating for quite a long time, but these are some of the things I notice that make me believe there is improvement.
Sometimes it can be quite subtle and happen in ways and at times you weren't expecting as Garzie alluded to.
