Trying to figure out the difference between JKW and resveratrol. I understand that resveratrol is one of the active ingredients in JKW.
It also sounds like most/many resveratrol products are made from JKW and that they are standardized to a certain amount of reseveratrol per dosage. Does this mean that its pure resveratrol, or is it just JKW standardized to a certain amount of reserveratrol, with all of the other bioactive compounds in it?
Reason I ask is because I'm looking for a new anti-inflammatory for my arthritis that wont aggravate my neuropathy through anti-microbial action. Boswellia serrata has been amazing my for my arthritis...its as strong as an nsaid and almost as strong as prednisone for me, yet it flares my neuropathy due to anti-microbial action.
Looking for other options. Borage oil hasnt done a thing. Same w/ curcumin. I have some JKW here, but worried that the antimicrobial action will stimulate my neuropathy. Do i just go buy pure resveratrol? Is there a difference other than labelling?
