For the newbies here, I’ve had many posts in the past on fixing my twisted body which was the result of continued athletics with injuries that could not heal properly during / with decades of lyme. Unfortunately pain does not stop competitive athletes, some are just too stubborn. Especially when doctors told you over and over there is nothing wrong even though it was obvious there was.
So, it’s pretty much known that these infections can cause tingling and weakness in the extremities, but if you actually get injuries they will not heal properly.
So on my extensive “rebuild my body project” I’m currently working on my left foot. I’ve had orthotics, several styles for about 12 years now. Conclusion: foot doctors are the worst there are. They seem to fail to realize that the foot is connected to tendons that go up your leg.
The problem with my left flat foot is the tendons that go up my leg - they were super tight. And foot doctors, even physical therapist that specializes in feet do nothing with the lower leg lol!
I’ve been working 360° on my lower leg tendons and muscles and upper left thigh for about one year. Last six months I worked on it a lot harder. I’m finally seeing results.
In daily activities or even long walks I no longer need orthotics. I’m guessIf I just stood on concrete like in a retail cashier position or something I would probably still need more orthotics - most people would, we are not made to stand in one place on hard ground.
It is kind of painful to work on the tendons of the lower leg. My left ones were crunchy, my right ones- much less. So obviously something was wrong. If you’re outside foot tendons pull your foot up it’s go ing to make your inside arch drop, which is exactly what happened. For some reason trained foot doctors did not recognize this.I did of many different variations of myofascial release, tendon release and then finish it off with Solomon seal tincture sometimes daily. The many variations of this that I’ve learned and did to myself would go onto a pretty long boring post so I’m not gonna go into the details.
I am very grateful for having spent all the time that I needed to learn and experiment with this stuff. If I had to pay for all the muscle and tendon release Ive done to my entire body it would probably be over $20,000 by now. In all honesty I have probably spent $5000 on body, PT , Chiro clinicians trying their best to fix me. American health insurance only covers a small fraction of this sort of thing. Clinics often have to somewhat lie on the notes to get things covered as well it’s all in technicalities in the wording. Even then coverage is so limited you cannot fix this with insurance.
Reality is you can never 100% correct A tendon to the way it used to be. So I will most likely always, on occasion need orthotics but no longer 100% of the time. Fact is, many times they bothered my feet using them because your foot just gets weaker. If you left your arm in a cast for the rest of its life you would have no biceps left!
