I don’t know anything about
new cars, but SUVs, including smaller ones should have front seats that lay back. I sleep in the front passenger seat of my SUV.
Midsize and Large SUV’s and minivans sometimes have captains chairs in the 2nd row. I would expect most captains chairs to lay back far enough to sleep in.
I also have a sleeping bag that is rolled up and in a nylon bag. I put a cheap, soft, flexible car visor (cheapest one at Walmart - soft not stiff) in the floorboard at night and put the rolled up sleeping bag in the floor and use it for a foot rest to elevate my feet somewhat. I’m sure someone smarter than me could come up with a better rig.😄
The visor on the floor keeps my sleeping bag and feet from getting dirty from the floor and keeps the cold out somewhat in winter.
