58 KD (IGG) band reactive meaning

Does anyone knows what it means to have the 58 KD (IGG) band reactive?
All other bands are non reactive and the lyme antibodies (IGG,IGM) immunoblot are negative.
I have multiple autoimmune diseases and very severe joint pain and shortness of breath,along with eczema,which I never had before in my life.
Btw,I am eastern european .

Welcome to the forum!

Band 58 is not considered Lyme “Specific” - meaning other “things” can cause that band to show up on a western blot.

But, more importantly - diagnosis should be based on signs and symptoms as well as history (known exposure to ticks) along with ruling out other “diseases”

It's possible that band 58 is a European strain (Borrelia Afzelii or Borrelia Garinii), check out Traveler's comment in this thread:

Band 58 is likely Borrelia Afzelii - a European strain of Lyme disease, and a heat shock protein.

You're best bet is getting in to see a LLMD that will understand that there are more than one strain of Lyme disease!!

viruses from the herpes virus family ( herpes simplex 1+2, CMV, EBV etc ) are thing that are known to trigger band 58 to be positive - from what i have read - perhaps other things too

the difficulty being that 95% or more us us have had these viruses and once we have had them they stys in us in small numbers for life - its also known some people continue to make antibodies to them in quite high numbers for years after or even life.

i think you need a clinical diagnosis or testing that does not rely on serology

I am due for more testing,but is so darn expensive (close to 1000$),and add to that the doctor's fee (my doctor charges 250$ per visit, cash or check only) ,which will be all out of my pocket,plus the the things I need to start taking in order to get better.Tried other doctors,but they all say,you're fine and send me home with all kind of pharmaceuticals,which I refuse to tak as they only add to the problem.I am also allergic to many medications.
Grew up on the farm,so I had my fair share with ticks,parasites and so on.I also have some amalgam left in my mouth,and I'm pretty sure my body is a wreck right now.
