Best testing companies, an update?

if you have a positive test for lyme - there is little point in testing again - as there are no tests that can tell you if lyme is gone - its purely on symptoms from the point of a positive test onwards.
reasons:
-lyme antibodies can persist for years after infection - even if symptoms resolve
-in infected persons some/none/many antibodies can show up - ie different at each time points - due to surface antigen variation and host immune modulation by borrelia
-its not currently known if lyme can ever be eradicated once a person is infected
(many people including LLMD's and LLND's do not seem to understand these point causing people to keep spending money on tests that do not tell them anything useful)

LabCorp tick born disease tests are not recommended - you need a specialist lab

Igenex has one of the better reputations in the USA - but vector borne disease testing has a great deal of ins and outs for each organism - so you may well have to choose specific labs for each suspected organism

galaxy DDePCR or T-Labs for bartonella (or Igenex bartonella immunoblot /western blot - as second choice)
Igenex FISH or T-Labs Babesia immuno-fluorescence microscopy for Babesia

i doubt any are covered by insurance - but depends on your policy and the LLMD you use i think
