For years I've had on-and-off night sweats.
First I linked it to protein overconsumption. But then recently I've noticed if I eat too little protein, I'll also sweat.
Cold showers worked for a while, but then I got cold.
Like 4 years ago I started taking wormwood (Artemisia absinthium, after a trial with A. annua)
It seemed to work really well. But I had to keep ramping up the dosage. I am extremely lightweight and recently I've been taking the maximum dose of wormwood, and it's STILL not working well enough.
What's the secret?
Aerobic exercise.
If I do something during the day that gets my heart palpably pumping in my chest, making that "thud thud" sound, I'll be fine for the night.
A nice hike up a steep hill, 15 minutes on the stationary bike, an hour walk, a swim, 10 sets of 15 jumping jacks, what have you.
If I do that, there is no sweat during the night, and I sleep well.
I hope this helps.
