Drinks a ton of water only, adds great amount of salt.
Hi. Just based on my own experiences, I'm not generally a proponent of going overboard on most things -- exercise, sleep, diet (macronutrients, calories, salt, etc.), supplements, or even water.
Of course, there can always be exceptions. But, in general, I try to be mindful of the bigger picture. When we push something too much, we may not know it and the body might compensate in ways that seem unrelated.
As for your daughter:
1. How much salt is she consuming daily?
2. How much water is she consuming daily?
3. What's the color of her urine when voiding? (See
this chart for guidance.)
4. What does she eat? (nuts/seeds, meats, shellfish, vegetables, fruits, grains, beans, potatoes, organs, dairy, etc.)
5. What vitamin or mineral supplements is she taking, if any?
I'm sorry for asking so many questions. Investigating these may not necessarily address your daughter's blood pressure issues, but we can at least try to ensure that they're not confounding matters.
Best wishes,
Dude
