Luteolin - Possible Supplement for Babesia

that study is interesting for a couple of points

1, even the smallest concentrations of Luteolin had almost the same efficacy as the highest concentration ( that can be a good sign when targeting a drug for oral use as typically its hard to get blood concentrations near to the maximum in the trials - but in this case it looks very possible to get to the lowest concentrations )

2, they tested it against the cattle versions of babesia ( B. Bigema and B. Divergens as well as theileria species) and it had pretty much the same effect across all species - this is notable as B. Microtii - one of the species known to infect humans is thought to be much more sensitive to existing anti-malarial agents and therefore easier to kill - so a drug that is good for b. Microtii may not be so good for other babesia species in humans. but Babesia Divergens is more like the problematic species for humans - and it worked well enough for that - so that's a good indicator.

looks like it could be a good adjunct to other anti-malarials

the only thing i wasn't so sure of was what the test method for determining parasitaemia levels - and it looked a bit suspect that all the measures were so close to each other for the medicated groups

I have not, I did try plaquenil once, but I was very allergic to it. I'm just going off my symptoms. I haven't completely ruled it out.

Luteolin did a lot of amazing things for me including improving my vision and brain inflammation. HowEver, the reason I took it was for mcas, which it makes other peoples’ better, but it made mines worse. I’m not sure why but I think I told myself it decreased my progesterone and/or increased my estrogen.
