That sounds like average pricing, unfortunately. I can understand not bothering to test the rooms with visible mold and water damage because you obviously have mold in those rooms, but the airspace of a house is all connected, so a room across the house from a moldy room will have at least some mold in it as well. My mold inspector did ERMI dust samples, as well as air samples from each floor of the house. I have read that dust samples are far superior to air samples for accuracy and thoroughness, but my inspector prefers to do both to get a sense of how much is in the air currently (as opposed to dust that's potentially from long ago). I hope you get some useful information!
