Mold air test

So the dude came and tested our air and did a 2 samples. 1 place wanted to charge me almost $1,000 lol this place charged me $375 for 2 samples (1 indoor , 1 outdoor) and 75 each per additional sample. Is this good pricing? Anyhow, the dude wanted to take air samples in the rooms with no visible mold but didn't want to test the rooms with visible mold and that didn't seem right to me? Anyhow well have results by Monday. Our bathroom floor is soft and dangerous he said. My kitchen wall is literally reshaping itself and looks caved in, paint cracking and all and this dude says they're just nails and that "houses move" said it wasn't from mold. With all the water pressure building up inside the walls it's definitely from mold and water. I tried not laugh because I felt like they just wanted the $. He thought I was going to pay for every single room to be tested yet he was really trying to convince us to not test the rooms that had visible mold and that didn't seem right eeither. . He said he used to work with lyme patients for 15 years but who knows, as he didn't mention anything else about it. Maybe he just wanted to seem like another know it all" he said we don't have respiratory symptoms or lung infections so we should be good mind you he's suppose to specialize in mold and has been with the company well over 15 years!! Good grief, the mold symptoms are endless, memory loss, brain fog, sweating, depression z anxiety light sensitivity, joint pain, numbness and tingling. He stayed silent when I brought that up and instead went around it and started talking more about himself. He was jolly and all but aim just saying, nobody knows what it's like until you go through it yourself, am I right?! I've had shoulder pain for a week and migraines and nausea, sleep issues worse now as soon as the mold reappeared ai noticed these issues ramp up. It also can make lyme and Bart flare up even more. I will update on what the results aren.

he may not be actual remidiator . i used the mold sample kit from home depot at 40$ to diagnose the spector mold species i was dealing with . my folks spent thousands but they treated infected rooms like an ebola patient sealing off with plastic running fans and heaters after chemical and reconstruction applications. so idk 375 with inflation in nyc may not be bad price ... did he at least have cool collection device or did he use a ziploc bag ?

Yes he did have the device to take air samples , temperature etc.

That sounds like average pricing, unfortunately. I can understand not bothering to test the rooms with visible mold and water damage because you obviously have mold in those rooms, but the airspace of a house is all connected, so a room across the house from a moldy room will have at least some mold in it as well. My mold inspector did ERMI dust samples, as well as air samples from each floor of the house. I have read that dust samples are far superior to air samples for accuracy and thoroughness, but my inspector prefers to do both to get a sense of how much is in the air currently (as opposed to dust that's potentially from long ago). I hope you get some useful information!

I can hardly wait, as our bathroom reaks of mold. The results come tomarrow, thanks!
