I’ve only had dry needling which didn’t really do much so I can’t help you there but I have another question regarding your question :
When you say “the ligament” in her lower back, do you know what specific ligament the doctor was talking about?
Are you talking about SI joint pain? Sacrum iliac.
The reason I ask because there is controversy on pain in this joint. Medical doctors claim it cannot move.
But chiropractic knows that it can , and just moving a little bit will create pain and they can adjust it back in place. It has to do with your hips twisting.
