Must have some hamster in me. That might explain a lot of my gut symptoms. Thanks for posting.
Would be great to see “for sure” answers for all of this instead of possibilities. They’ve had 45 or so years to know so much more than is known.

as we have discussed before
i suspect the reason we see disturbances in the gut microbiome with all of these vector born illnesses is that they all drive inflammation in the gut via various mechanisms - and that this change in the environment when the gut bacteria live is reflected in changes in which types are favoured and which are disadvantaged by the new environment and the result is a different mix than there was before
