i was doing pretty well - still quite a few symptoms but i was able to do much more - i had got to the point where i was able to do a pretty substantial workout every other day - walk 3 miles every day - and do more than just the basic tasks of looking after myself
in fact in my workouts i was doing something like 70 push-ups straight and getting stronger each time

then i had 2 bouts of covid only a month apart and have been having heart issues since then.
scary heart attack type symptoms that caused me to end up in ER
no clear diagnosis - but i suspect its lyme/ bart or maybe covid related
frustrating as i have had to cut back dramatically on the workouts as they were aggravating it
hoping it settles down again over time as i dont think any docs will understand it much

RW - its settled down white a bit at the moment thanks - such a weird thing - for a few months it was coming and going every 2 weeks like clockwork - i have angiogram and echocardiogram scheduled to get properly checked out.

Update on thyroid status:

Just had thyroidglobulin and Thyroid Peroxidase checked again. This time my doctor waited almost 5 weeks after last infusion instead of 3.

Thyroidglobulin was now 32, instead of the 38 that showed up in first time. The 32 is in range (higher normal). The Thyroid Peroxidase was 5.7, down from 10.0 in first test, with0.9 being high. That seems to show they are, possibly, transient from IVIG, as Garzie first mentioned and others discussed as correct.

Since IVIG stays in system so long, can it take that long for the thyroid numbers to keep coming down? Seems to me that is showing a pattern, which is great. I haven't had IVIG now for 5 weeks but am starting back in a week or so.

If your antibodies elevate again after your next IGIV, I would check the thyroid hormones again too, with the same lab as a baseline just to re-assure that these antibody levels are not doing anything to your thyroid.

every batch of IVIG may be different - but if you can track antibodies going up wen you are on it and gradually decreasing the weeks you are off it then its a good indication its from the IVIG

testing your actual thyroid hormone levels tsh, t3 and t4 as a minimum - should also give you insight into whether your thyroid is affected by the elevated antibodies
