I was initially diagnosed with CIRS (mold) by a Functional MD. She tested me for numerous infections - CMV, EBV, Parvovirus-19, Chlamydia pneumonia, Mycoplasma pneumonia. I had very high (way out of range) IgG titers for most of them without having symptoms of acute illness from any of them at the time. I also had positive IgM titers for the Chlamydia pneumonia but not any of the others.
The doctor did not try to treat me for any of those, but tested them to get a broad view of the state of my immune system. CD-57 was also tested and was very low.
I shared those results with my primary care doctor and told him what my understanding was about the results. I asked him if he would expect to see results like that in a normal, healthy patient, and he said, “No.”
If you want to treat viruses, I recommend the herbal route as opposed to antiviral drugs. You might want to get a copy of Stephen Buhner’s book, “Herbal Antivirals.” Olive leaf capsules and/or monolaurin would be good options to use.
