Spoiler: I am Just RANTING

So this is Just a Rant, nothing really useful sorry.

I was slowly Feeling stable again on a Regimen of: Citalopram, Nattokinase, Bromelain, multivitamins, electrolytes, Curcuma, Milk thistle, Hawthorne berries, UDCA and Nac.

I really Had 2 days that were somewhat considerably normal. I actually Made a Walk in the park, Not Long - but still! Huge! I even went grocery shopping BY MYSELF without the Help of my girlfriend.

I was really Feeling the fresh air of how Life could be Like.

Needless to say i was Kinda sticking to my Routine. Of course i got really Bad Just 2 days later because for some reason No GP wanted to Tell me that curcuma/tumeric is a MAO-Inhibitor and shouldnt be taking with this Garbage medicine of citalopram wich has of course 15000 Interactions....

I was even visiting my LLMD again and looking Forward to a treatment with minocycline and Amoxicillin and tinidazole because I felt so good thst i was finally comfortable with treating. BUT NO EVERYTHING IS THE TOILET AGAIN I HAD TO STOP BOTH CITALOPRAM AND TUMERIC BECAUSE I DEVELOPED A MINOR SEROTONINE SYNDROME AND OF COURSE I AM STILL PUKING AND LIGHT HEADED TODAY.


Life just sucks. It Just sucks! No pleasure only crap.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You are right. I should try to hold on to the fact thats actually achievable to be atleast kinda well, since - if i would be damaged - it wouldnt be possible to feel this okay again would it?

Treatment trauma is a really good point. I am starting to get scared of doing literally anything. Getting discouraged all the time is so hard. I remember i got well on some doxycycline maybe a year ago but it just stopped working. I visited my LLMD and took tinidazole with it and i just developed yeast wich made my throat so sore i couldnt eat. It just seems like everything i do stops a symptom and starts another.... Its not easy.

The constant denial makes it even worse? Do I stop responding to abx? Do I have have chronic infection? When you dont see improvements or consistency its so hard to tell.

We have a lab here in europe that does blood smears and staining and they claim to find babesia and bartonella quite fairly well - if ofcourse not always - maybe i should give it a try. my llmd recommended them.

A bit of clarity would be soooo helpful like PLEASE just lord send me a sign what to do and in wich direction to treat. this is so exhausting....

It seems to me, you are still fairly young? If yes, this is a good thing (time) with all these tools you have to use nowadays. (note, anything under 39 is still Young!)

So here’s my rant inside of your rant thread lol!

I am better now vs 15 years ago. I stopped treating these infections about 6-7 years ago. In all honesty I felt my best about 3 to 4 years ago, probably 90% well. I have slightly dwindled since then. Even though I am in pretty good shape, I can’t ignore the fact that age has caught up to me.

It’s interesting, how age affects different people differently. Based on peoples health, what they want to do versus what they can do. It can really vary within the same age group of people who once had similar motivation and physical endurance. Major illnesses aside, some are just lucky.

One thing I always remember, though, if you’re still alive, you obviously had better luck than those who aren’t.

So how did I improve?

Treating tick infections and other conditions separately and together. So everything combined.

My story:

Well, I had multiple things going on which many of us do and that can make it all very confusing.

I grew up and live in north central US tick country. (now I try to avoid outdoor activities in the worst secluded areas). Because of that, it becomes pretty obvious that even in the outdoor oriented population, some people get this and some just don’t, …..obviously due to their specific immune system.

I suspected tick infections a long time ago, but of course conventional medicine didnt really support that theory decades ago even when it’s located in tick heaven, that has since changed(!).

At the time, What conventional medicine did notice and find was some autoimmune conditions. One of those, Hashimoto hypothyroid does have overlapping symptoms with tick infections. The standard replacement synthetic, hormone, for that did not do much at all for me. 10 years after that diagnosis, I found a Doctor Who would prescribe desiccated pig Thyroid, which got rid of some of the symptoms.

****Then, about eight years after that is what I finally learned what an LLMD is and treated tick infections which helped alleviate more symptoms. So yes it did something definitely.****

it wasn’t until the mid-2000s that any good information for these health issues was online. Without more modern Internet starting in the mid-2000s I wouldn’t be where I am today. In my teens and 20s I just dealt with it because you can when you’re younger. My mid 30s to late 40s were terrible. I would like a refund for that part lol.

I just started seeing a functional doctor again for the first time in about three years. I am not fond of prescription medication’s and only take two. However, I am finally going to try LDN, which I wrote a post on that a while ago. I hope that gives me more daily life improvements.

For the last 15 years I’ve always had a can of permethrin tick spray in my vehicles and my outdoor gear bags. I first started using that in the late 80s, I think that’s when it was first available in the US at retail outlets.

I don’t use permethrin in my yard but this year being a warm winter I might have to as there might be an outbreak of ticks way more than usual. It should still be below freezing and snowing right now, however, might possibly be 55 Fahrenheit tomorrow highly unusual. And even warmer next weekend. I’ve never seen it like that this early.

Oh man, Blazer!!! I'm SO sorry!

With all that I now have going on medically, I have also discovered that doctors STILL don't know or refuse to explain a lot of things! I now must check all of my meds, vitamins, herbs and food for interactions because they won't/can't. And if they can't, why not??? I mean, seriously, if I can do it at home, how much easier would it be for someone who knows these drugs, interacts with me regularly, and has better "tools" than I have???

Grrr! I'm mad at your doctor's now too!
