Fasting glucose can be low (like yours) with slightly high A1c. That said, some people are at pre-diabetic range there whole adult life without further issues.
In my case with a Keto diet, my fasting sugar is high (but goes down after my first morning snack), and my tested glucose peaks are healthy, lower than expected. This still freaks out some Drs.
There are different variations of pre-diabetes and full diabetes, even though Drs only have three categories of diabetes (1,1.5 and 2).
You should get a manual glucose meter if you dont have one and test before and after certain foods to learn how your specific body works. The arm monitors are getting popular, but still cost at least $125.
**From what I now understand, the HOMA-IR calculation is the best way to "see" how well your body uses insulin. Regular Drs and even Endos rarely calculat this. Functional Drs know its a good calculation of test results to do.**
Google HOMA-IR calculation to see examples if this is new to you. There are several examples depending what measurement units your fasting glucose and insulin were in.
You need fasting glucose and fasting insulin on the same morning to do this, so maybe you can calculate it with some past tests you had.
As far as correcting a pancreas, I dont know of any supplements that do this well. There are many that help a little, its trial and error.
Sometimes keto diet can do some actual healing, but it takes years. Obviously stop eating sugar and high carbs. And stop buying it- out of sight, out of mind is lots easier than temptation if its in your kitchen already. Fake sugar is a marketing gimmick and is also bad, the body thinks its real sugar and will spike your glucose!!!. The only one that tricks some peoples bodies is Stevia. All others are bad.
I would be full blown diabetic on the typical crappy standard average American diet, even though Im in the upper 15% fitness level of 50-60 year old males. If you are already are somewhat fit and still have high glucose, that's more difficult. But, if your not fit, getting even half there will usually help a lot.
My heart issues and tremor improved after lyme treatment. I then decreased my combination BP and tremor med to 1/3 what it was during lyme.
