Anyone here with Chronic lyme have to use a wheelchair?

I’m wondering if anyone who has been dealing with severe chronic lyme here has been debilitated so severely that they have to use a wheelchair currently?

I’ve had to use a walker sometimes in the past when my legs would give out on me

there was a series of case reports published recently in a mainstream journal detailing the treatment of 10 severe chronic lyme disease patients who were described as having "Paralytic Late Tick-Borne Neurological Disease"

all had sever motor deficits and were wheelchair bound or bed bound -
all recovered after appropriate combination antibiotic treatment

the paper appeared in a mainstream journal "Antibiotics" and can be found in full on PubMed Here

Prof John Lambert ( an infectious disease expert from Dublin Ireland) and Eva Sapi - a well known Lyme research both appeared as authors on the paper

the thrust of the paper was that targeted and sustained combination antibiotic treatments for the specific infections present in each patient were the keys to success ( Borrelia, Babesia, Bartonella, Anaplasma etc )

I've used a reclining wheelchair for over a decade

Lyme and CO/I can be very physically debilitating for some people, in different ways too.

I never needed a wheel chair, but I did use those motorized shopping scooter carts a few times at Walmart when the regular grocery store did not have them.

I did /tried my best to keep mobile though. Had I not done those things (long story) I would have been much , much more in pain / hard to move.

(I often mention that I was also a fit person just as an example of what lyme can do to even competitive past pro athletes. It was nightmare, and why I had to stop. )
