Interesting how this is so similar with
1)tick infections,
2)the infamous label of "Fibromyalgia" and in many cases,
3) Chronic fatigue syndrome/ME
4)Hashimoto low thyroid.

The first part of treatment listed is also the same as Functional Medicine protocol pre-treatment for the above #1, 2,and 3 which is what my LLMD did before focusing on tick infections.

Interesting hearing about peptide BPC-157, since the FDA banned it this year. But its still sold online (how does that work?)

They banned it along with other peptides for ‘safety concerns’. You can still buy it from places that are not regulated by the FDA

lots of things we are already familiar with are peptides

insulin
oxytocin
melatonin
in fact most hormones

one of the things they pretty much all have in common is pleotropic effects
that is to say they effect multiple systems in different ways at the same time.

thus they have wide ranging effects on target cells and non-target cells

for example-

some that are intended to help injury recovery also promote VEGF and cause and increased risk of tumour growth

some that are used to increase human growth hormone - ie for short stature / stunted growth - can desensitise the growth hormone receptors

some that are intended to aid recovery and sleep - help deep slow wave sleep - but reduce essential REM sleep

i mention it to highlight that although there is a lot of hype around them as wonder drugs at present - all have downsides as well as upsides - just because they sound innocuous - ( they are just a few proteins stuck together right?) - that's also what most of our hormones are - and we are all well aware that messing with your hormones can case all sorts of trouble long term.

so i would say go in with your eyes open - its really easy to get caught up in the hype of some new treatment when there are multiple sources / voices promoting them - and its really easy for this to distort our judgement of benefit vs risk - but its already clear that where these molecules are concerned there is no free lunch
