I’m just kind of babbling here maybe some of you know what I’m about
to share. Maybe it is new to you :
Since I have experience on the other side of the immune spectrum, (Primary immune deficiency ) I have a dabbled a lot into the immune system, primarily immuno globulins.
One thing immunodeficient doctors do is test or challenge your immune system With vaccinations. Most common is Pneumovax 23. I have low titters to that already. Then 4 to 6 weeks later, I will get the 23 stereotypes of pneumococcal antibodies measured again. To see what the response is. It should increase.
No, I am not looking forward to this, but I’m at the point where I really need to do it.
They do this because even though immunoglobulins are measured down into the Subclasses, that just tells volume it does not tell strength.
There are people at my deficient level of immunoglobulins who will be sick constantly without immunoglobulin therapy. So far I am in the group that does not seem to get general common illnesses. The levels are the Similar. The strengths are different.
I have known people and work with those who are constantly have some sort of cold or upper respiratory illness between Halloween and Easter in my northern colder climate.
