Noticed the past days a bit of a sore throat coming and going as well as watery eyes but didn’t think much of it assumed it was allergies.

But today I woke up with chest inflammation and I feel some congestion in very back of throat and with watery eyes which is odd since my eyes are usually dry.
What do y’all recommend I take? Could it be from my treatment or if I’m coming down with something? It’s so hard to tell what to do these days if it’s a herx and coming from the Lyme or if it’s just something going around.

its often hard to tell what's going on in the early stages of coming down with something like a cold/virus - especially while treating as herx and flare of symptoms with a virus often seem much the same

if you think its likely a cold or respiratory virus - the earlier you take something the better as once its gets a foothold and is replicating its v hard to stop it in its tracks and you mostly have to ride it out

elderberry is a folk remedy with good science around it - it seems to work best if you take it at the very first sign of a virus
there are various preparations that contain it that are available over the counter
or if like me you prefer as little chemicals as possible - you can just buy the juice - and take around 30ml of that a few times a day
i also have also found dried berries with rosehips that you can brew as a tea
vitamin C and zinc can also help in the early stages to stave off a cold / virus

It could be from treatment. You could also be coming down with something. Bartonella can cause a host of eye symptoms, as well as stiffness in the chest wall.

Lea,

I know you’re doing DesBio. I didn’t see your first few posts, so I don’t know if anyone shared this with you or not. You may have already searched the forum and seen it. There was a discussion on DesBio a few years back that had a lot of information and experiences shared. I found the thread. It’s 4 pages long. I’ll be trying elderberry and I think I’ll start back on omeprazole as well in case it’s my gerd. When I first started on the vials I had to get back on the omeprazole since it really messed with my gerd/gastritis. I was only on it a few days but it did help my symptoms.

A week or 2 ago I did feel a sore throat and thought I was getting sick and it went away next day so that’s why I was thinking it was a herx. But the inflammation in my chest this time is bothering me so much and I already feel shortness of breath as it is so I’ll have to see if the omeprazole gives me relief although I did not want to get back on it.

Walkingbyfaith, thanks so much for those links they truly helped. It’s crazy how I have so many symptoms from each infection listed on the website. I’m wondering if I’ve had Lyme/coinf for a long time and didn’t realize since I was a bit healthier back then. I even have mold symptoms! What’s the best herbs to take for mold?

If you suspect mold illness, then I would recommend finding out if there’s mold or water damage (past or present) in your home or workplace. If you are living in a moldy environment, no treatment for mold is really going to help if you can’t get out of the exposure.

There are a few of us who have been through the gamut with mold, so if you have any questions about that topic, don’t hesitate to ask.

Sounds like GERD is a reasonable thing to assume, especially since you have a history of it. This time of year where I live, with my heating system coming on and drying out the air, plus all the ragweed and leaf mold in the air, it's fairly common to feel the effects of those things in one's eyes, throat, and lungs.

Eye irritation is common with the prevailing COVID variant right now, and I would suspect you'll know quickly one way or the other, in that case.

Doesn't sound much like a herx to me, although of course herxes can be mysterious.

I took omeprazole this morning and although it’s too early to tell I think it calmed the chest inflammation feeling and the stomach burning down a bit. I still have pain but I’ll be able to tell within the next few days. Still have a sore throat.

Oh no last thing I need is Covid or something like that. What would one even take for it when treating Lyme?
I would imagine the treatment I am on would help in preventing getting sick since it’s to help build up our immune system?
